SPRING BREAK 2024-
Week 1 March 25th to 29th
Week 2 April 2nd to 5th 
Each week will consist of music and movement, drama, art and play. Created for young children, no experience is necessary and the focus is on fun exploration. 
The themes and inspiration for our Spring Break will be ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’ as well as the season of Spring.  

Weekly Summer Camps for 2024

Each week ends with a performance for family and friends. Friday afternoons before pick up at our location.

Artistic Director - Claire Butler has over 25 years experience working with children in various settings. She is a professional musician and educator. Currently she is the music specialist at Montessori School of Calgary, a member of the jazz ensemble Clicquot Trio and has a large private music studio. After graduating from Royal College of Music in London UK, Claire has enjoyed teaching posts at Luckley-Oakfield School for Girls and Bermuda School of Music. Now residing in Calgary, she continues to perform as a pianist and has worked with many organizations in Calgary as accompanist and music director. Claire enjoys creating music programming and combining all art forms for children to enjoy. Some of her musical story projects have been performed in Calgary Public Libraries and various preschools in Calgary. 

Amanda Hillestad  - A graduate from McGill University’s Classical Vocal Performance program and has performed as The Queen in The Queen, The Bear, and The Bumblebee at the Banff Center and at the Taylor Center for Performing Arts. Amanda has performed in the Mountain View Chamber Music Festival, in the Mountain View Recital Series at the Lougheed House and a recital at the King Eddy with Julie Harris and Eileen Kosashi. She has been seen in excerpts and roles with McGill Opera, has participated in Opera Nuova and returned to work a tour as Mrs. Henceforth and Telerina in Isaiah Bell’s Mr. Moreover’s Magic. Amanda has performed with the Calgary Arts Orchestra, VoiceScapes, Classical Revolution Calgary, the Bach Society, Cowtown Opera, and Early Music Voices. Amanda is excited to share her new role as Vice Presidents for the Southern Alberta Chapter of the National Association for Teachers of Singing as well as Vocal Director at Central Memorial’s Performing and Visual Arts Program. Amanda has experience working with young children in China and is excited to join Shine Music Camp this year.
